Head Chef

Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef who is passionate and practiced in the delivery of a range of food offerings. This is an outstanding opportunity for the right person to bring new, exciting ideas to shape and grow a business that has significant potential.

The Club provides a catering service to our members and visitors, 7 days per week.  Current services range from bar menus and afternoon teas to carveries and function menus, all held in a wonderful location.  The Club’s ambition is to invest in and extend our offering to appeal to more customers both members and a wider audience.

The successful applicant will be expected to work 40 hours per week, on a rota basis, which will include shared weekend working.  This would be mainly daytime hours, although it may include the need to work occasional evenings to cover a function or club event.

You will lead a small catering team to create relevant, fresh, locally sourced, high quality food.  This will embrace our culture of working with local, small-scale suppliers.  It also provides a platform to build the reputation of Thetford Golf Club as a destination for fantastic food.


A negotiable, competitive salary commensurate with the skills and experience of the candidate.
