Round-up of results

Margaret Hayward's Ladies' Captain's Day was blessed with great weather on Saturday.
Vicki Smith took advantage to return the best individual score of the day, 43pts off her handicap of 24 to win Division Two.
The Division One winner was 13-handicap Heather Keeble with 40.
Final scores, Division One: 40 Heather Keeble (13); 38 Moira Morgan (19); 36 Wendy Puttock (14); 35 Jane Herrington (15); 34 Jenny Rowe (20), Janice Fossey (13) and Sheila Spreadborough (20); 33 Kath Malvern (6). Division Two: 43 Vicki Smith (24); 39 Dawn Dixon (21); 37 Sandra Smith (26); 36 Helen Ayres (22) and Pauline O'Sullivan (26); 32 Diane McBride (28). Division Three: 41 Barbara Bailey (37); 33 Lorelle Turner (29); 32 Pam Ellis (30).
Thetford ladies bowed out of the NLCGA's premier inter-club competition, the Gillieson Cup, when they lost 2-1 away to Hunstanton. Conditions were difficult with strong, gusty winds on Sunday and the home side coped better on the day.
In the Inter-Club League Division Three Thetford scored an impressive 4-3 win over Eaton 1. Shelley Pleasance, Janice Fossey, Sharon Caws and Heather Keeble won the top four matches to secure the win - which was just as well as the visitors won the bottom three matches.
The Club Summer Meeting is always a popular event on the calendar and it was hot and sunny for Sunday's competition. Stephen McKeown coped with the dry fairways and running conditions best of all to pick up 40 Stableford points off his handicap of nine.
A birdie at the fifth was worth four points as he collected 18 over the first nine holes but he then had nine consecutive pars on the second nine for 22pts and his total of 40.
He finished three ahead of six-handicap Matt Wabe. Matt had birdies at the 6th, 9th and 12th but dropped shots on three of the last four holes.
Five-handicap Dean Scott was third with 36pts.
Other scores: 35 Rob Taylor (5), John Barton (12) and Peter Croker (9); 33 Ashley Forbes (12), Steve Duncan (11), Rafe Ashby (12) and Neil Elers (9); 32 Brian How (11), Tony Brooks (12) & Ian Farnham (6); 31 Ray Hamilton (8), Matt Harben (5), David Sutton (12), Andy Beard (8) and Paul Garnham (9); 29 Josh Chamberlain (3).
There is also a Club Summer Mixed competition which is held in the afternoon. David & Margo Horsburgh won with 36pts, beating Roger & Vicki Smith on countback. David Newstead & Jane Herrington were third with 34 followed by Phil Beer & Julie Arthur with 31.
In the Norfolk Handicap League Thetford still lead the way despite losing 2 1/2- 1 1/2 away to Costessey Park. After defeats in the first two matches James Killa & Derek O'Sullivan won their match 5 & 4 and in the final contest Paul Pearce & Steve Cartwright halved. A putt to win the match - and share the overall spoils 2-2 - just missed.
Seniors June Stableford: 40 John Baldwin (11); 38 Reg Mayhew (17) and Graham Norman (17); 37 Kevin Stannard (19); 36 Derek Barton (15) and Colin Wigg (15); 35 David Horsburgh (12) and Brian Maiden (19); 34 Robert Setchell (4); 33 David Fossey (15), Gary Roberts (9), Robin Patrick (27) and Phil Halford (14); 32 Mick Tilly (27), Nolan Newbury (16) and David Benton (20).
