Marshall wins with a 67

'

The Norfolk Winter Alliance meeting on Valentine\'s Day had a field of 88 and although early morning was a little frosty it soon cleared and it was like a Spring day.

Andrew Marshall (Bawburgh) took first place in the Professionals\\\' competition with a fantastic 41pts. He got off to a great start with a chip-in for an eagle three at his first hole, the 6th, and went on to add four more birdies against one bogey for a round of 67. In second place was Gary Potter (Richmond Park) with 37pts and Jack Yule (King’s Lynn) was third with 34pts.

The Better-ball Stableford was won by Mark Jackson & Allan Crerar  (Eaton) with 41pts on countback from Josh Brookes (Yarmouth) & Andrew Marshall (Bawburgh). Other prize-winners: 3rd (40pts) Andrew Rackham (Sprowston) & Norman Angus (Wensum Valley); 4th (39pts) Gary Potter (Richmond Park) & Mark Rumble (GY&CGC); 5th (38pts) Neil Featherstone (Fakenham) & Mark Spooner (Bawburgh) on countback from Steve Warren (Royal Cromer) & Joseph O\\\'Sullivan (Eaton).

Nearest the pin: 3rd hole Gary Hubbard, 16th hole Andrew Rackham.
