Green fees to go up

It has been agreed to increase visitors' green fees for the first time in two years. This is in line with the policy which has applied for some time to reduce footfall on the course while maintaining a similar income. We have compared prices with similar clubs in the region and feel the new rates still represent good value.

There will be no change to the members' guest rate, however, which means the lowest green fee charged will be available to members who bring their friends and family to the Club. These visitors are most valuable as many of them are potential new members and over recent times this has been a reliable source of new members.

We have studied feedback forms from visiting societies and most have said they feel they get very good value for money when they play here. We hope they will not be put off by the slight increases and will continue to visit us - and enjoy their day sufficiently to want to return again.

Fridays and weekends are most in demand by our members and our green fees are now £50 at all times over that period. Midweek before 1pm is now £45 with a reduced figure after 1pm of £35. The all-day fee is now £70 which means the County Card rate is £35. There have also been small increases to our society fees - £42 for groups of 12+ on Fridays or weekends, £37 for Monday to Thursday before 1pm and £32 for after 1pm.

The changes take effect from October 1 2019.
