Bob Pearson, Club Captain in 2018, has received letters of appreciation and thanks from his two chosen charities after presenting them with £2,600 at the end of his fund-raising year.
Club members and visitors all contributed generously towards those totals so the thanks go to you, too.
Carl Williams, Community Fundraising Manager for Sense, said: "Your donation means we can provide more support to children and adults and their families. We will be able to introduce children to wonderful new sensations and exciting, stimulating activities which help them to make sense of the world around them, encouraging communication, mobility and social skills. We will be able to organise more Saturday clubs, family weekends and Sense holidays to help families cope and gain strength from each other while deafblind children and adults have fantastic new experiences and make new friends."
Averil Jarvis, Chief Executive of The Cinnamon Trust, said: "Please convey my heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined in the fun throughout the year to help make your donation possible. I thought you would like to know that we're going to use your donation to help pay for a therapeutic laser device that our vet nurses can use for a whole range of geriatric problems that beset our sanctuary residents. It works brilliantly for pain and encourages healing."
