It may seem a long way off, but July 4 will be here before you know it. That's the day that we are holding the Three Captains' Charity Day.
In a break from our usual routine our three captains in 2020 have agreed on the same charity - the Colman Centre in Norwich. Club Captain Rob Mill, Ladies' Captain Sue Pitcher and Seniors' Captain Jim Neal have all agreed to raise funds for this worthy local charity having seen it working for the benefit of one of our own members.
The highlight of the fund-raising year is the Charity Day when up to 200 players can take part. They all contribute to the overall fund but also have lots of opportunities to donate even more - via auctions, sponsorship and other fund-raisers on the day.
The entry fee for a team of four is £140, but it is only £110 for a team of four members. The format is the best two scores on each hole with prizes to be won on every hole. The day includes coffee on arrival plus a two-course carvery afterwards. And there are some great prizes on offer.
You can enter whenever you like by filling in the form which is available in the Clubhouse entrance or you can enter online at www.thetfordgolfclub.co.uk
Don't leave it to the last minute - get your team together and submit an entry form as soon as possible.
And you know you will have helped to make a sizeable contribution towards the running costs of a local charity.
