Over the winter months we are running series of golf opens which offer the opportunity to play individual pairs Stableford events and be part of a 5 event Winter Series.  Thetford Golf Club is reknown as an oustanding winter course, dry sandy turf underfoot and excellent greens make it a true all-year round venue.  With many courses closed or waterlogged we offer a great opportunity to partcipate in a winter golf series from November through to March.

What are the dates for each event?

• Round 1 - Friday 8th November 
• Round 2 - Thursday 19th December 
• Round 3 - Thursday 9th January 
• Round 4 - Thursday 6th February 
• Round 5 - Thursday 13th March 

How much does it cost?

The cost is £65 per person per event, so £130 per pair.

Is food included?

Yes, your entry includes coffee and a bacon roll on arrival and a one course meal after play.

What is the format?

• The format i s pairs better ball Stableford.
• Pairs can be made up as follows - Pro & Pro, Pro & Am, Am & Am
• The events are open to both gents and ladies as long as you have a full club handicap.
• Professionals play off scratch and amateurs play off 85% of their playing handicap.
• There will be prizes for the top five teams at each individual event, and prizes for the top nine teams in the overall winter series.
• Prizes for Professionals will be in cash, and amateurs prizs will be shop vouchers. 
• Players may be a part of multiple teams, but for the overall winter series you will only qualify for one team.
• For the overall winter series the best three rounds for a team (pair) out of a possible five will count.

• If there is a tie for any of the places it will be worked out as follows;  

  • For each event - Back 9, 6 ,3 ,2 ,1.  

  • For the overall series - Best lowest points card, then second lowest, then highest, then back 9, 6, 3, 2, 1 of lowest points card.

What are the prizes?

The event offers great prizes, both for each event and overall series winners.

Note: Professionals winner prize paid in cash, Amateurs paid in shop vouchers (based on 40 teams)

Are entries limited?

Yes, we have a maximum of 50 pairs per event.  Entries are taken on a first come, first served basis.  Thetford Golf Club has the right to refuse any entry.
